Kenya is experiencing a growing burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, hypertension, and cancer. Urbanization, sedentary lifestyles, and unhealthy diets contribute to this rise. According to the Ministry of Health, NCDs account for over 27% of deaths in Kenya. Limited access to screening and treatment in rural areas exacerbates the problem. Public health campaigns promoting exercise, reduced sugar intake, and regular check-ups are critical. The government is also working to integrate NCD care into primary healthcare systems to improve early detection and management.
